Four Tet and Caribou are planning a split release 7" to showcase their new tracks. So far Pinnacles seems like an extension from his latest offering, "There is Love in You," in terms of its subtle house influences, the dancey vibe without going over the top and its minimalism. There is also a hint of krautrock present in the repetitive nature of the hook, but FT manages to keep it interesting with various fills of bells, aqueous samples and sweeping pans. Quite uncharacteristically, he definitely indulges himself in the track as the song could easily have been cut down by half. Not one of his best but a banger nonetheless.
